“And we’re very pleased to be joined by Sonny. Sonny, well done, home debut in the Premier League and a winning goal. It doesn’t get better than that, does it?”

“Yeah of course I’m really happy because we win and I score our goal because we’re strong — strong game, hard work — and I’m really happy to win.”

“Crystal Palace, a good team aren’t they and this was a good win for us wasn’t it?”

“Of course they have a very good team, good attack, a very very good squad. Very very hard work for us and yeah, because we want to win this game. Every player worked really hard and yeah, amazing.”

“Tell us about your goal. It was a quick counterattack and a great finish.”

“Yeah Chris played to me very very good and it was quick —  one against one against the center-back — and after I timed it, I put it on my left foot and I shoot it and I think it was really lucky.”

“Tell me what went through your head went it hit the back of the net.”

“Uhh, I don’t understand, say that again?”

“How did you feel when the ball hit the back of the net.”

“Uhh, it was really really amazing because when my goal went inside, the fans was — I don’t know what you said [it was a great feeling] —  yeah. Because it was really really amazing for me, and now I’m really really happy.”

“It’s been such a brilliant start for you here at White Hart Lane, Sonny, two goals the other night, a winning goal tonight. And now, we play Arsenal on Wednesday. You must be looking forward to this game. “

“Umm I don’t know what I can say, because Arsenal is a really big derby and I heard in Germany. I’m really happy to play there against Arsenal yet now, really really rooting for us really good recovery and then we will see. We want to win and we will see.”

“I mean you’ve been with us a couple of weeks — two weeks — it’s been an incredible start to your Spurs career Sonny. Are you happy in England, have you settled okay?”

“I’m really really happy everyday here to train and to play, because the players are really happy. Very very funny — funny guys — and staff, very very good for me. They help me every time, every day, every week. I’m very very happy.”

“It’s so different, isn’t it, from your own culture back home, and then from Germany to Premier League. It’s different football, you’ve got lots to think about haven’t you?”

“Of course of course. But I think because I’m really happy because I’ve played football. I wanted this since I was a kid, I wanted to play football. Now this is the best league in the world I played and I’m really happy everyday.”

“And you’re scoring winning goals in it, doesn’t get better than that does it?”

“Of course of course. Everyday, scoring makes me happy, and I try every game to score.”
