For Tottenham’s third game on the road, they would be looking to end their five-game winless streak — which included three consecutive draws. On paper, even with the losses of both Christian Eriksen and Mousa Dembélé, Tottenham should have picked up a win against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light, and after a dreadful August, September has started off well.

Although after the late game-winning goal by Ryan Mason, he picked up a knock as soon as he chipped Costel Pantilimon. Seeing Mason having to be stretched off wasn’t a good sign and with Harry Kane’s drought still continuing, who would be able to score goals until Kane returns to form and Eriksen is back in the lineup?

With the debut of Heung-Min Son and Dele Alli also getting his first Premier League start, they both did well and could help lessen Harry Kane’s load of trying to carry Tottenham all by himself. Of course one more signing, who didn’t make an appearance, Clinton N’Jie should get some playing time down the stretch and make an impact in Mauricio Pochettino’s offense too.
