Emmanuel Adebayor

A striker who Tottenham was able to rely on when Tim Sherwood was still managing Spurs. Unfortunately those days are long gone ever since Sherwood was sacked.

During the 2014-15 season, the 31-year-old Togolese international was a starter for Mauricio Pochettino until November 9th, a span of 12 games. Near the end of November Emmanuel Adebayor would be dropped entirely from the squad as Harry Kane would take over the lone striker position.

There are two main reasons why Adebayor would be sold this summer, high wages and no production from this past season. After scoring 11 goals last year and only 2 goals this year, it’s clear that he is no longer a part of Pochettino’s plans. Thus Tottenham will move on from the £100,000-a-week wages he currently makes.

It also helps that Harry Kane is now Tottenham’s best striker.

Verdict: Sold
