Papiss Demba Cissé’s move to Newcastle United in 2012 was a very good signing.

After stops at FC Metz in Ligue 1 and SC Freiburg in the Bundesliga, it was only a matter of time until he would transfer to the Premier League. Since arriving in England, he hasn’t disappointed.

While two of his former clubs and his current one, Newcastle, have only seen him play for two seasons so far. The amount of production he’s had speaks volumes as to how good of a striker that he is.

His time at Newcastle has seen him appear in 110 games and scored 41 goals with 10 assists. When compared to his former clubs they’re on par.

Metz: 99 games, 36 goals and 5 assists

Freiburg: 67 games, 39 goals and 5 assists

Cissé is a striker who will always start and find the back of the net by scoring. It wouldn’t be surprising if another club tries to sign him based on his track record.
