Ciro Immobile’s first year in the Bundesliga was decent at best.
Scoring 10 goals in all competitions isn’t bad but it isn’t good either. He has mostly played in Serie A so his switch to the Bundesliga should be considered a learning curve and most likely not indicative of what he’ll actually be like.
With that said, Immobile needs more time to adjust. However if Dortmund is going to rebuild their squad with a new manager, perhaps he will be sold. If that were the case there is some potential that could be tapped into once again.
Immobile’s loan with Pescara and one year with Torino produced good results.
Pescara: 37 games, 28 goals and 7 assists
Torino: 34 games, 23 goals and 3 assists
Those two years show what he’s capable of doing. If he’s not the focus of the attack and is paired with another striker, perhaps good things may happen once again.
