Seven Keepers to Replace Hugo Lloris
Final Thoughts:
So there are the seven goalkeepers that I have in mind.
Once again, not the best way to pick and choose which keeper to replace Hugo Lloris but it is meant as a way to start a discussion among others.
If these were the only choices, my first option would be to get Petr Čech. A £10 million transfer fee is very doable and will give Tottenham some change to spend elsewhere.
Should Petr Čech go to Arsenal then Tottenham could look at either David Ospina or Wojciech Szczęsny as two backup options.
However, if Spurs feel they can pull this off, then they should get Jan Oblak from Atlético Madrid. Not as he is quickly establishing himself as one of the world’s best keepers, but he fits Mauricio Pochettino’s desire to build a core group of young players.
Otherwise Claudio Bravo could be the best option available with Marc-André ter Stegen most likely becoming Barcelona’s new keeper.
