My last grand day out at White Hart Lane was the Liverpool game. Since I got the season ticket I’d been hoping for a few more but an unfortunate combination of circumstances have meant that I had to pull out of attending the Man United and Everton games and now because of another hospital admission for my wife, we will miss the Arsenal game too. Just as well then that the Cardiff match turned into another special day.
It started well with Steve bringing his wife Fran and Adrian, a one-time colleague of mine. Annoyingly he had hardly changed in the 10 or so years since I last saw him. The journey provided a great opportunity to catch up.
