Best of the rest at Tottenham – Hugo Lloris

After completing his ninth season at the club and sixth as captain, Lloris is almost part of the furniture at Tottenham.

At 35, the Frenchman is surely coming to the twilight of his career. However, if this season is anything to go by, he’s aging like a fine wine.

Lloris’ 16 clean sheets saw him finish third behind Ederson and Alison in the Golden Glove race, making an impressive 98 saves. Despite sometimes being error-prone, he has been crucial between the sticks again this season, regularly making seemingly impossible saves thanks to his lightning-quick reactions.

Having signed a contract extension this season that sees him remain in North London until 2024, Conte rates the Frenchman, with Lloris repaying his trust tenfold.

For us fans, we must enjoy what likely little time we have to see Lloris at Tottenham, as unfortunately, there will come a day where he no longer guards the goal at N17.
