Mauricio Pochettino: “Yes, I think we feel a little bit disappointed because again we deserve more in the end. But we need to be happy that we equalize late in the game. And you know when this type of team play like Leicester, very deep and counterattack, and only they have one opportunity, ne chance in the first half and we concede the goal; was unbelievable.”
“Because it’s like Everton last week when we deserve more in the first half and in the end it was 1-1. Second half an early goal and it was very difficult because they believe that they can win the game and go into the next round. But it’s important to recognize that the team never give up and always fight and try to go forward and believe that they can score.”
“And very happy, very happy for that. There’s a lot of players that no play consistently in the Premier League. And this is an important chance to show and can fight for a start and consistently on the team.”
STV: This team has managed to do that a lot of times hasn’t it, in the last 18 months, scoring late. It’s a good mentality that they have there.
MP: “Yes I think the mentality is right. And we need to fix some things, because we make some mistakes and we concede a goal. We’re in a period where every mistake is concede a goal. But the only way to try to sort that is to work hard and keep working and to try and be clever for the next games.”
STV: I mean it’s the FA Cup, the most important thing is not to lose. You lose, you’re out.
MP: “Yes it’s true. But now we have another opportunity — we’re alive. And we have a lot of games ahead, but I think that we’re in a good position to attack all the competition. And we have a strong squad, and only we need to believe and keep working hard.”
And finally here was the club captain to start the game, Danny Rose.
