Spurs TV: Okay Harry’s here. Harry, most important thing of all is a late penalty to get a replay. You know we wasn’t gonna give up were we?

Harry Kane: “Oh definitely. We want to go far in this competition. and obviously being 2-1 down we had to try and change it. And yeah very happy to score the penalty and get the 2-2 and now we play in the replay in a couple of weeks.”

STV: We had so much possession but they were so resolute. It was typical Leicester wasn’t it?

HK: “Yeah they defend well, they’ve done it in the Premier League this season as well. So when they went 2-1 up we knew it was going to be tough and we knew where to be patient and we was. I thought we created some good chances and finally got the breakthrough towards the end.”

STV: Okay take us into your mindset. It’s a last minute penalty, you know the goalkeeper is thinking you’re going to put it that way [upper left-hand corner]. That is your favorite way but you still really blast it — converted it well Harry.

HK: “Yeah I knew I was gonna go that way before the penalty even got given. So I didn’t want to change my mind, I thought I’d go with it and put my foot through it and yeah was very happy to see it fly into the back of the net.”

STV: It does show that if you do strike a penalty like that a ‘keeper can’t get to it can they?

HK: “No definitely. obviously he’s a top ‘keeper himself [Kasper Schmeichel] but obviously if you put it in the corner with enough pace then not many keepers can save them. So delighted to see it go in and obviously delighted to get my 50th goal.”

STV: Yeah last time we spoke last week it was about your 50th, and now it’s 50 [goals] in 104 [appearances]. What a lovely milestone Harry.

HK: “Yeah definitely. It’s a good one, a good achievement. But hopefully it’s the first 50 of many. Hopefully I can go on to get 100, 150 and so on, so that’s what I’m looking to do. So yeah carry on and working hard.”

STV: And before we play Leciester in the replay, we play Leicester.

HK: “Yeah we play them again here on Wednesday. Obviously different sort of game; Premier League, both teams near the top of the table so yeah we’re looking forward to that one. Today might have been, kind of like a little taste of it. We go again on Wednesday and then obviously we play the next week after, so we’ll have seen enough of them and hopefully take some points off of them.”

Up next, it’s Christian Eriksen.
