Spurs TV: Okay, Kieran’s here. Kieran, first Premier League start. And you set up the winning goal. A perfect day really.

Kieran Trippier: Yeah it was a good performance all around. I thought, compared to Watford, they done very well. But it was important to come here and get the three points and push ourselves further up the table. And we did that.

STV: They got a red card midway through the second half, and it was going to be a patient game from there. But God, they got some spirit haven’t they, Watford?

KT: Yeah of course and they shown that in previous games that they played. And they said they made it hard for us when they had 10 men, but we kept on believing and believing we could get that second goal. And the belief in the squad is massive and it showed that towards the end.

STV: The goal itself, set up by you. I mean when you flicked in the second cross, did you think there was a goal there? I mean Sonny’s made it happen there.

KT: Well I mean that’s what I try to do, put in as many balls as I can for my teammates. And since the first one didn’t go in — and I got an another opportunity — but it fell straight to Sonny and he did a clever flick and yeah it went in. So all happy days.

STV: No doubt you’ve seen that in training everyday. He’s got that in him doesn’t he?

KT: Yeah Sonny’s a quality player. And you see that day-in day-out in training, what ability he’s got and there’s no surprise that he did that little bit of skill to get the winning goal.

STV: So your first start in the Premier League for us. You’ve shown us what you can do. We’ll see what happens from here I guess?

KT: Well I’ve just been training — I’ve been working hard and hard and give credit to Kyle, he’s done very well. And we’ve both get each of a praise, we lead each of our own and we can only make each other a better player. But like I say, it was important for me to do well today and get the win. But keep going and who knows what could happen.

STV: Last question. And it looked mad, what was it like when that goal went in?

KT: Oh. It was crazy you know. They said it looked like a derby. And there’s no better feeling to come out on top. But the fans were fantastic all the way through and like I said, that second goal was for them. And it was just a great celebration by the boys and the fans together. And it just goes to how close everybody is in this club.

STV: Kieran, well done. Thank you.

KT: Thank you.

Third on our list, is manager Mauricio Pochettino. Before the game, he made a key switch in his formation from a 4-2-3-1 to a 3-4-2-1 and brought on Kieran Trippier as the starting right-back in place of Kyle Walker. If there were any doubts over these two major moves, it didn’t backfire with Trippier setting up Son to give Spurs their third straight win.
