Due to his last loan period being marred by injury, Kane had to go out once again and join his fourth team in two-and-a-half years after graduating from Tottenham’s youth academy. Still only 19-years-old, Harry Kane had a lot of time to continue his development, this time on loan with Leicester City.
But after coming from a severe injury, the only one that he has suffered since, Harry Kane had a low profile fourth loan spell. The eight substitution appearances is a sign that Leicester City was being extra careful with Kane, which is nice of them in all honesty.
At the very least, Harry Kane still got some minutes to play. Regardless of his final stats.
Overall as a then-20-year-old following four loan spells away from Tottenham, before eventually earning some playing time with Tim Sherwood, Kane didn’t look anything like he does now — a world class striker. The only close resemblance to the Harry Kane of today, happened during his time with Millwall.
Sometimes it goes to show you that patience is needed when developing youth talent while also having a manager like Mauricio Pochettino who not only believes in giving youngsters playing time. But to also stick with them regardless of age and a lack of experience at the Premier League level.
