Mauricio Pochettino on the Spurs Squad
Tottenham have used 28 players in their 5 pre-season matches according to My Football Facts website. When asked about how many players he needed to sign, Pochettino said, “not many” although he didn’t rule out the possibility of bringing in some new players in the coming week, saying,
In football it’s possible and we will wait to see.
He did, however, comment of the size of the Tottenham squad, in an interview reported by Ben Pearce of London24.com. Pochettino said,
I think we need to take a decision now to decide how many players to keep, because we have more than 25. For me, it’s too many players. My idea is 25, no more than 25. We need to decide now, after our tour in America, and start to work here and decide our squad for the future.
