Tottenham are reported to be preparing a bid for Memphis Depay, the young PSV Eindhoven winger who played for Holland at the World Cup Finals in Brazil.
Memphis Depay was in the Holland World Cup squad in Brazil, having made his debut the previous October. The 20-year-old winger has represented Holland at all age-groups from Under-15 level. He has now made 10 appearances for Holland and scored two goals, including the winning goal in Brazil in the group match against Australia.
Depay joined PSV Eindhoven in 2006 and progressed through their youth Academy to make his first team debut in 2011. He has become a regular over the past two seasons and has made 84 appearances for PSV and scored 22 goals.
Tottenham are one of a number of clubs who are interested in signing the exciting young player. Speaking at the weekend, Memphis Depay acknowledged interest from different clubs, telling De Telegraaf,
In comments from his interview tweeted by Dutch Football ( @football_oranje ) Memphis Depay said,
If a nice club from a big league reports then I will of course think about it. I understand very well that the fans want to see me play next season at PSV. But ultimately I’m the one who decides how my career will look like and nobody else.

This is one of a number of transfers that Tottenham appear to be be working on at present. There is the on-going interest in Mateo Musaccchio from Viallarreal while Younes Kaboul could be going to Lazio.
Tottenham’s Scotland Under-21 international goalkeeper, Jordan Archer, has joined Northampton Town, on loan, until January.
