Reports this morning suggest Tottenham interest in Ryan Bertrand, Morgan Schneiderlin and Luis Filipe. While other Spurs news is related to Wilfried Bony, Loic Remy and Erik Lamela.
The Daily Express has two reports with Tottenham interest. They say that Spurs in their search for a left-back are considering a move for Chelsea full-back, Ryan Bertrand who has also been linked with Liverpool. Chelsea are reported to be wanting a fee of £8m for their 24-year-old defender who was on loan at Aston Villa for the final 5 months of last season.
With talks stalled over Swansea, Tottenham are clearly looking at alternatives for the left-back position. Ryan Bertrand has made only 28 Premier League appearances for Chelsea and has 2 England caps.
One less realistic suggestion from TalkSport is the Chelsea target, Filipe Luis from Atletico Madrid.
The second Express report suggests that Tottenham are in advanced talks with Southampton for Morgan Schneiderlin. The midfielder player who returned recently from the World Cup with France has been linked with a move to White Hart Lane and is the target for a number of other clubs, including Arsenal. The clubs have not reached agreement on a fee but Tottenham are thought to be in contract discussions with the player. Schneiderlin is another of the top Southampton pushing for a move away from St. Mary’s following the departure of Ricky Lambert, Adam Lallana and Luke Shaw with central defender Dejan Lovren also looking to move.
The other news reports are on two strikers with whom Tottenham have been linked this summer. TalkSport are reporting that Liverpool are considering a move for Wilfried Bony from Swansea at a cost of £20m while The Independent have a report that Arsenal have renewed their interest in Loic Remy from Queen’s park Rangers at a fee of £8m.
Tottenham were reported to have turned down offers from Inter Milan for Erik Lamela and it was thought that the young player would be part of Tottenham’s plans for the coming season.
According to @HotspurRelated, an Italian journalist for SkySports Italy, Gianluca Di Marzio, claimed that Erik Lamela is up for sale at €25m plus bonuses.
