Following Tottenham’s 3 – 1 win over Fulham, manager Tim Sherwood was delighted with the result and the team’s performance and application.
Speaking after the match @SpursOfficial reported Tim Sherwood saying,
We deserved to win. Fulham were spirited but we weathered all they had to offer and our class told in the end.
Sherwood made comment on the contribution of four of the players – Paulinho, Christian Eriksen, Hugo Lloris and Harry Kane. Of Paulinho, who scored the opening goal, he commented,
I thought Paulinho was excellent, he won the ball back for us a lot and defensively, did the job I asked him to do.
As Eriksen and Lloris continue to impress for Spurs, Sherwood praised their efforts,
Christian continues to deliver assists, he must be a dream to play alongside and every time Hugo is called upon, he produces.
Harry Kane scored the second goal with a header from Aaron Lennon’s two minutes after the interval to re-establish Tottenham’s lead and make it his third goal in 3 games since being given his first Premier League start against Sunderland. Sherwood said,
It’s great to see Harry score again, he looks like he’s going to score every time he plays and I’m confident he’ll continue to do so.
Speaking of Kane, @HotspurRelated tweeted Sherwood’s comments,
Sherwood: "I knew he could do youth level and development level and I recognised he could do when he needs to and play in Premier League."

According to @HotspurRelated, Sherwood also said,
I knew he was good enough to play and he knew he would get opportunity if he showed me on training field. I threw him in and he’s not let anyone down. He deserves all backing he gets. He can score and he’s got a level head. He knows when to speed the game up, knows when to slow it down and he can score. He’s only a boy but he plays like an experienced campaigner.
It was high praise for Kane from his manager and according to Sherwood, proof that the young player is ready for Premier League football.
