Tim Sherwood was pleased with his team’s first win at White Hart Lane since he’s been in charge. Tottenham have taken 7 points from their last three games so the result keeps them within striking distance of the Champions League finish which is so important to the club.
Tim Sherwood spoke to BBC Sport after the game. He said that he thought that the team had played well throughout the game and he was encouraged by the three goals and had every confidence in his strikers.
We took some of our chances. A few more went missing. The strikers will score more often than not if they get into those positions, especially the top strikers we have got.
He had praise for some of the individual performances. Speaking to @SpursOfficial, the manager said,
Individually, there were some outstanding displays. Paulinho was immense in the centre of the pitch with Mousa Dembele. Zeki Fryers came in for his full debut and was excellent and Kyle Naughton didn’t put a foot wrong.
Sherwood was uncertain of the extent of Paulinho’s ankle injury but he was impressed by his display. On Twitter @HotspurRelated reported Tim Sherwood’s comments on Paulinho,
He was superb today. I am just learning about him, I have only seen him a few times in training…..Even today I am sitting there and I`m learning about him. He made me open my eyes as I am sure he did the fans.
Zeki Fryers who started his first Premier League match for Tottenham today, spoke to @SpursOfficial.
It was an incredible feeling, my first start, a full game and I’ve got to build on that now. ’m getting more experience now and playing with great players every day, that can only improve you as a player.
Mousa Dembele who scored only his second Premier League goal for Spurs said,
Roberto Soldado who scored the first goal from the penalty spot also spoke to the club’s Twitter site.
Mousa "We scored first and stayed on top of them. We kept playing our game and that was important."

It was a really important win. Of course, scoring the goal felt good and that started us off for a fantastic performance. We were really ambitious and went at them from the first minute. That paid off.
On Twitter Spurs fans spirits were raised by the success.
@jogeo23 (Joseph George) tweeted:
With so many players out injured and suspended, TS has done a decent job. Soon we can expect a #Tottenham side firing on all cylinders.
