It’s coming down to the wire on the transfer window. Good luck to Daniel Levy on his efforts to bring Holtby’s move forward in light of Sandro’s injury. I said in my first blog of the transfer window that I thought we needed top class cover in midfield and a striker is a priority since Adebayor’s last minute volte-face.
There is one player who seems to be developing in leaps and bounds in the Championship who has already garnered interest from Premier League clubs. He has just scored 2 more for Blackpool at Wolves in the FA Cup. Mr. Levy, how about one of your famous last minute swoops for Tom Ince?
His family is from London, so we might be an attractive proposition to him. Liverpool are reported to have just signed Philippe Coutinho, the Brazilian midfielder from Inter, so they won’t want Ince as well now, surely?
I think he could turn out to be a major star of the future. The footballing class and determination in his genes have been shining through on an ever more consistent basis for a while now.
Tom Ince’s Profile
Tom is the son of former England captain, Paul Ince. He is 20 years of age and has made 5 appearances for the England Under-21 team. A winger, he started his career with Liverpool and made one substitute appearance in a League Cup defeat in 2010 before joining Notts County on loan. He went to Blackpool in August, 2011 where he has made over 70 League and Cup appearances and scored 23 goals with 16 assists.
The Blackpool caretaker manager, Steve Thompson said after the Cup win at Molineux,
“If Tom Ince is going to leave he’s not going to go cheaply.”
Over to You!
Would Tom Ince be a good signing for Tottenham?
