Not So Merry Team News

by Spurs

In advance of Thursday’s match at the Lane versus Chelsea the official team news from Spurs is out, and it doesn’t look too good. The following players have injury concerns:

Lennon (Hamstring)

Bale (Ankle)

Defoe (Hamstring)

King (Knee)

Adebayor (Foot)

That is a whole lot of talent that will potentially not be on the pitch. I would take this news with a grain of salt though because over the years in football we have seen more than a few miracle injury recoveries in just a days time. Aaron Lennon is out for sure and I believe Bale (who is described as very doubtful) will not play versus Chelsea either but I think there is a good chance that Defoe, King and Adebayor will all feature. King would be the biggest question mark of the three. I have no doubt he will play if asked, the question is does Harry want to risk him for future matches?

It will be very interesting to see what type of line-up Harry selects with all these injury problems. I would expect both Parker and Sandro to provide steel in the middle. Perhaps Pavlyuchenko will get the chance to be a hero again? It makes it quite hard to do a match preview when you have no idea of how Spurs will set up. My only advice is for the lads is to execute Redknapp’s plan to the best of their abilities and we will surely smash em!

COYS!
